Hyatt Guest of Honor Bookings

Hyatt Globalist is Hyatt’s highest elite status and one that offers great benefits. Having a family member or friend with Globalist status can be a bonus due to the Hyatt Guest of Honor Booking. These guest of honor bookings can be made by someone with Globalist status on your behalf and you can then enjoy the benefits of Globalist status during your stay. These benefits include:

  • Room upgrade at check-in including standard suites, as available
  • 4:00 pm late check-out guaranteed at most hotels (as available at resorts)
  • Club Access or Breakfast
  • No resort fees
  • No parking fees

Procedure for Booking

Recently, Alex, Jess, and I met for a short retreat in Huntington Beach. Because Jess has Globalist Status, she did a Guest of Honor Booking for our second room in Alex’s name. We transferred the necessary Hyatt Points to her via this form. She then called Hyatt and booked the room for us, thus giving us Globalist Status during our stay.

  • Guest of Honor bookings are not allowed on paid stays
  • You can only take part in a point combining request activity once every 30 days (this includes gifting or receiving points)

My Experience with Globalist Status

It was such a treat to experience life as a “Globalist” on this trip. The breakfasts we ordered were beyond amazing. And we paid nothing for them, to even a tip! We were upgraded to an ocean view room and they even apologized they didn’t have any suites available during our stay. Besides the breakfasts, they gave each room a $25 Market voucher to use for incidentals or treats. This was probably particular to this hotel. All in all, this is a hotel status I want for myself especially since I want to stay in Hyatt’s over and over again due to their outsized value.

Bottom Line

I am currently earning my own Globalist Status with their fast-track challenge. In the meantime, it was nice to get a Guest of Honor Booking to try out the benefits. If you know someone with Hyatt Globalist Status, ask them to do a Guest of Honor Booking in your name – it is a great way to see if Globalist Status is something you’d like to pursue!
