Recently, we talked about how the Citi Premier Credit Card’s limited-time 80K signup bonus can get us to Hawaii. Is a Citi Premier Bonus to Europe possible? Let’s check it out! In this post, we will be talking about transfer partners. You can get a video on how to transfer Citi ThankYou Points to partners here.
The Citi Premier travel partners include:
Some of these are better partners to the Mid East or Asia but there are several that will get us to Europe. Let’s start from the top.
It only makes sense to fly to Paris on Air France, right? They offer a direct flight to Paris from several cities. Let’s check out Dallas to Paris. Note: redemptions are higher this summer, especially business class flights due to high demand and low volume. I expect them to level out in the fall/winter, hopefully!
Air France does pass on higher surcharges. I used Air France for a recent business class flight to Croatia. I only used about 70K points for this flight but I am not seeing business class for that cheap currently.
That one Citi Premier signup gets me to Paris with points to spare!
This is one of my favorite transfer partners as they are part of the Sky Alliance, the same alliance that United is. I have transferred points into Life Miles for tickets to Europe and Hawaii. Let’s check out a ticket from Denver to London. Look at the price of these one-way flights to London! That is a good 9K cheaper than booking the same flight on United for the same United flight! I can probably get two roundtrip tickets to London with my one signup. Yep, a Citi Premier Bonus to Europe is a definite possibility!
I primarily think of booking Emirates to Dubai or the Maldives but it works for Europe too. One of my favorite trips to Italy was to Lake Como. You can fly to Milan and take an easy train ride to Lake Como and recreate that fantastic trip I took a year ago! The 80K limited-time offer will get you a round-trip ticket on one of the finest airlines around!
JetBlue serves London with a direct flight from JFK. There was quite a bit of availability for this flight when I checked. Citi Premier Bonus to Europe is easy with JetBlue.
Citi Premier Bonus to Europe on Singapore Airlines? I hope so because everyone raves about this airline! I have a flight in their Singapore Suites from JFK to Frankfurt that I am so excited to take. It is A LOT of points but I was happy to transfer them because I really want to experience this “bedroom in the sky”. I am paying 86K for this one-way flight which you could almost book with the signup bonus from Citi Premier. The trick is finding availability as there are very few suites on each flight.
I love that Singapore has an award calculator so that you can know upfront what you should find an award seat for.
Let’s head to Greece on Turkish Airlines. My first trip to Greece was with them and they are one of my favorite airlines to date. If you have flexible dates, you can sometimes find business class for only 45K miles. Even better, they usually have a stopover in Istanbul which means that you can go to one of my favorite airport lounges with your business class ticket!
One small section of the gorgeous Turkish Lounge in Instanbul!
Will the Citi Premier Bonus of 80K points get you to Europe? Absolutely! These are just a small sampling of the many ways you can use the Citi Premier Bonus to Europe! Where will you go with your bonus?
