Hyatt Adds the Mr. and Mrs. Smith Hotels

Pam

Hyatt keeps adding more hotel brands you can book with Hyatt points. The latest news is that Hyatt has added the Mr. and Mrs. Smith Hotels to their portfolio. This acquisition of over 1500 luxury hotels all over the world further cements why we love Hyatt so much.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith is a travel company that offers a collection of luxury boutique hotels around the world. They have been able to be booked through IHG in the past, so I would assume that partnership is ending. I recently stayed at two Mr. and Mrs. Smith hotels in New Zealand that I thoroughly enjoyed, so this is a real coup to Hyatt, in my opinion.

Mr. and Mrs. Smith Stays

Both of my stays at these properties were so much fun. They had excellent service and fun, vibrant decor. Each hotel in the brand promises a unique welcome gift – usually a treat of appetizers or a treat. In these instances, we had a special bath salt as a gift.

The Central Private Hotel

This hotel had a colorful vibe, and each of the three floors had a color decor. We were on the red floor and were delighted with the spaciousness of our room, the snacks in the lobby, the social hour in the evenings, and the special touches throughout the hotel.

This room was huge and super cute!

The Dairy Private Hotel

The Dairy Private Hotel continued the fun theme of color but added print coordination. It, too, had superb service, free snacks, and a nightly social hour. Both hotels were within walking distance of all the Queenstown attractions.

The lobby was my favorite part of this hotel.

The hotel room was smaller but very cute.

Other Properties

Here are some pictures of other properties to give you more of an idea of the brand.

Lifehouse Little Havana in Miami has all the touches of Cuba and intrigues me.

Hotel room with light walls and beach theme.

The Pearl Hotel in San Diego has serene rooms, but the hotel has a funky 50’s vibe elsewhere.

The Palazzo Scanderbeg is located right near Trevi Fountain in Rome.

Bottom Line

I was a fan of Mr. and Mrs. Smith Hotels before the announcement that Hyatt had added the brand to their portfolio. This gives those of us who love Hyatt even more choices. It will be interesting to see if Globalists get upgrades to this hotel too.
