Chase Sapphire Preferred Hotel Credit

The Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card is our favorite card for beginners. It also comes with a $95 annual fee which isn’t bad. One of the benefits you get with this card is an annual $50 hotel credit which brings the annual fee down to $45. But how do you use the Chase Sapphire Hotel Credit?

First, you have to book it through the Chase Travel Portal. Head to the section that says “travel”.

Use your Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card to book your stay and you will receive a $50 statement credit from Chase. The credit should post quickly and you don’t have to register for the credit.  You do have to pay with your credit card to get the credit. Do this when you don’t have enough points for a stay or to get an additional night’s stay after using points.

I would use it for an inexpensive hotel stay like at a Hyatt Place. It could make for a super cheap stay and might even be a fun way to do a staycation.

Bottom Line

The $50 hotel credit with the Chase Sapphire Preferred card makes the annual fee only $45. It’s not a huge benefit but one that is simple to use.
