Reader Success Story: Summer Adventure Using Hyatt Points

Pam

Our latest reader’s success story comes from Nicole, who is rocking it in the points and miles game. She has taken off running with just a little instruction – we are so proud of her! Here is here summer adventure using Hyatt points!

Soon after I began following Alex and Pam on Instagram, I signed up for their Zoom class. There I learned all I would need to know to get started in the points and miles game!

My family kept hearing about how beautiful and fun Moab, Utah, is. I decided this would be the destination for our first points/miles trip. I used Chase Ultimate rewards earned from signing up for the Chase Sapphire Preferred card for both my husband and myself. We then transferred the points to Hyatt. I booked the Hyatt Place Keystone for three nights using 45,000 points and five nights at the Hyatt Place Moab using 40,000 points. The Hyatt Place Moab is an incredible value at 8,000 points per night! It is only a few miles away from the entrances to Arches and Canyonlands National Parks. The property is beautiful and very kid-friendly.

Paying cash for the rooms in Keystone and Moab would have been $2358. By using points, the savings allowed us to splurge on experiences our family will never forget.

During our time in Keystone, we took our family to Epic Discovery in Breckenridge on our son’s 9th birthday. While in Moab, we rented an Rzr and took it out with a guide to take in the scenery and seek some adventure! We were also able to book a rafting trip down the Colorado River.

Credit card points and miles for travel has opened up a world of possibilities. We have upcoming trips planned and paid for with points to Hawaii, Disneyland, and Olympic National Park, to name a few.

My husband and I are both teachers in the Kansas City area and wouldn’t have ever thought this kind of travel would be available to us. We have begun to dream big and have started researching a trip to Rome in the next year. When rewards points almost completely cover hotels, flights, and rental cars, anything is possible!

Thanks for sharing your story with us, Nicole! Your summer adventure using Hyatt points is something anyone can replicate. We love that you have created wonderful family memories with points and miles!
